2nd Recruit Training Battalion San Diego Challenge Coin

All recruits must go through the challenge of completing Marine Corps boot camp before earning the title of U.S. Marine.  It all starts on the yellow footprints and the doors with the text “Through This Portal Walks The Future Of the United States Marine Corps”, then after months of molding by hardened Drill instructors recruits earn the title of Marine upon completion of the Crucible.  This coin honors the recruits that were tested and trained by the 2nd Battalion Drill Instructors and Staff.  This coin belongs in the collection of any 2nd Recruit Training Battalion Marine that endured the long day and mountainous marches that come with San Diego, California. This 1.75” bronze coin features the 2nd Recruit Battalion logo with the companies within the company and on the reverse the Marine Corps Eagle Globe & Anchor.
